Philosophy Modules at Postgraduate Level

At NMMU Philosophy’s task is understood in terms of its Socratic ideal, which takes philosophy to be critical and creative thinking concerning the meaning of being, for the sake of building a worthy ethos. The undergraduate modules aim to give you a sufficiently rich knowledge base and grounding in philosophical practices to prepare you to handle the more complex topics offered in the postgraduate programmes. Students may continue with Philosophy at Honours, Master’s, and Doctoral level.
